REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
All personnel are required to have current American Red Cross certification in Lifeguarding/First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer/AED. Those unable to find certification classes in their area may enroll in one of ResortQuest International Lifeguard Service at Sea Colony's classes, which are generally taught during the first week of each month at our training facility in Bethany Beach, Delaware. All personnel must also pass a pre-employment drug-screening test. If you are interested in earning any of the required certifications, please contact Dave Griffith.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Lifeguards assigned to the beach patrol must be able to complete a quarter mile soft sand run followed by a quarter mile ocean swim in a combined time of ten minutes or less. International applicants applying for the beach patrol may submit a video link. A phone interview is also required.

COMPENSATION:
Those selected to join our team enjoy free uniforms, free parking, free use of the fitness center, a 40 hour/5 day work week, end-of-season awards dinner, team photo, paid training, 2008 proposed probationary starting pay rate are $11.50 per hour for beach patrol lifeguards, increasing to $12.50 following probation, and from $10.35 per hour for pool lifeguards, and numerous opportunities to compete in local, regional and national lifeguard tournaments.
